No nursing branch is guaranteed if the cadet does not pass the NCLEX. As per AROTC regs, if you fail the NCLEX x2 you will be re-branched according to the needs of the Army. I have seen this happen a few times and it's not pretty. Bottom line nursing is nursing, but with any service nothing is guaranteed if you can't pass a national licensure exam.ROTC 197.
