I taped off the 2 holes on each side and the holes on the ends to allow the mycelium to colonize the substrate. This morning I noticed that both of the monotubs have a smell similar to alcohol. Wrong. for me Tyvek really restricted the FAE and the air inside the monotubs stagnated. Polyfill works best for me. I went back and experimented with tyvek during the colonization phase of the monotubs (when FAE isn't 'needed') with the plan to change to polyfill for fruiting. The monotubs were in a closet with no air movement.
