This has been happening for almost a year now, but anytime I host or try to join a session, no one can join me and I can’t join others, it gives me a “Failed to join session” screen. I’m on xbox and it’s really annoying because I want to enjoy the nostalgic game. And also I recommend you both restart your PlayStation, sometimes if left on/ in rest mode, network features get wonky. I'm having the same issue, happened yesterday too. I’ve heard joining from the desktop fixes the issue itself for some, so maybe the rest isn’t needed for others) After it crashes, the host invites the joining player(s) again and the joining player(s) manually launch the game.
