Yes the 60 series is considered one of the better engines especially when it first came out. The block, head and almost everything else are the same on the 11.1 and 12.7. The crankshaft has a longer stroke to get to 12.7 liters. So don't go thinking the smaller engine is weaker in design. mystic1582. Series 71. Successor. DD15.
