The recent tech cap increase added a few more slots, but I still can't add further bulkheads to the tech inventory, but they can be easily added to cargo. That said, I've only tried with mouse, and there was a bug a few experimentals ago that made adding to exosuit tech difficult. I'll grab another bulkhead and experiment a little.

Like the player says above to increase the freighter storage you will need Cargo Bulkhead modules and will need to use the center console of your freighter command room to apply them. Same as increasing your starship slots. You will need to buy Emergency Broadcast Receivers from the scrap dealers on the space stations.
