Hi, I have found the answer for the glowing essence problem, you have to craft a "precision alchemists bench" , then you get the glowing essence recipe automatically. I also was looking for it now i can start crafting lots of blue fire candles :)) I managed to find two off a 1 skull crocodile boss when I skinned it.In order to convert Glowing Goop into Glowing Essence, you need the Dredger feat, which is from the Dredges in The Exiled Lands. So, my statement still stands. The only way to get glowing essence is to kill skeletons or find them in chests. Unless you found a way to get the Dredger feat, I would like to know as well.

I don't think I've used a skinning knife on one using any of my higher-tier tools, but back when I was doing it with steel, I'd only get a skull every third or fourth skeleton. 2. Use a skinning knife to that you aren't dropping thousands of putrid meat and bones constantly, and you'll have a reasonable chance of getting one off each body. When it comes to heads cleavers are usually best. Do a run through the unnamed city and kill Al the skeletons there.
