I believe storm crystals dont spawn on planets that aren't a constant hazard. As in the weather needs to be extreme all the time even when a storm isn't present. I've been to a lot of planets and the only 2 planets I've seen them on had extreme weather 24/7. The weather was just deadlier during a storm.Im not sure if that has changed in the last two updates though. Yeah I have a base where storms are very frequent and have effectively stripped the surrounding area of storm crystals so i don’t think they respawn. I’m pretty sure that there’s an exclusion zone around your base that keeps objects from respawning. When you use your visor, you will see little yellow lightning bolt markers denoting where the closest Storm Crystals are.
