Lets start with this: 2001 F-150 SCrew 5.4. That looks like the hose I'm having to replace. Inside this hose is a metal object which I assume is the flow restrictor. The hose split at the edge of the metal fitting on the intake. That side is easy enough to take off. Pinch the clip and out it comes.
