From reading other information along the way, I was of the understanding this should be a 16" barrel. Mine is almost 21 1/2" at the end of the threaded barrel from where the barrel meets the action.No need to remove them (the mag screw is threaded into the bolt guide), just loosen them a bit. With those screws loosened and also backing the bolt out a bit will allow the bolt guide to move up enough to allow the small extension on the bottom of the barrel to slide under the bolt guide.
